May 12, 1985 Game 364: A's (13-17) at Red Sox (18-11)

The Red Sox take on the A's at Fenway Park and the ypung phenom Roger Clemens takes on the veteran Don Sutton.  Clemens is looking for his 6th win and Sutton his 1st.

In the 3rd the Red Sox will make things difficult for Sutton's bid.  Lyons hits a 3 run homer to make it it 3-0.  Boggs and Evans walk, Rice is safe on 2nd due to Bochte's error and Boggs scores to make it 4-0 Red Sox.  The A's get on the board in the 4th.  They have runners on 1st and 2nd, Hill hits a 2-out single and Murphy scores to make it a 4-1 Red Sox.

In the 8th the A's get a run when with the bases loaded Collins hits a SACFLY to right and it is now 4-2 Red Sox.  In the bottom of the 8th the Red Sox make it 5-2 when with the bases loaded Boggs singles and Buckner scores.
