May 14, 1985 Game 387: Expos (14-16) at Astros (11-19)

The Astrodome was packed today as these fan were going to see either Mike Scott or Dave Palmer pick up his 1st win of the season.  The Astros have struggled all season.  They are at the bottom of the N.L. West. While the Expos have had moderate success right around .500 the offense has started to scuffle of late.

Raines starts off the game with a single and then steals 2nd. Two walks later the bases are full for Brooks and Scott hits him and Raines trots home.  That would be the only run the expos would get the rest of the game, At the end of 1 it's 1-0 Expos.

The Astros get to Palmer in the 2nd on Thon's 2-out 3 run homer and the Astros are up 3-1.  They would add another in the 5th.  Puhl doubles and would score on Cruz's 2-out single to make it a 4-1 game.  In the 7th Pankovits makes it a 5-1 game when with runners on 1st and 3rd he singles scoring Cruz.  The Astros add 1 more for good measure in the 8th.  They have runners on 2nd and 3rd and Walling hits a deep SACFLY to right scoring Doran.  Mike Scott pick up his 1st win

The Final Score 6-1 Astros
