Rick Rhoden gave the Pirates a quality start and those have been rare for him this season. He would give up 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 6. his only trouble was in the 7th when he gave up a 1-out 2 run homer to Dan Driessen. Rhoden improves to (3-4) on the season. Atlee Hammaker was hit with the loss (2-3), as he gave up 6 runs in 7 innings.Johnny Ray lead the offense as he went 1-4 with a home-run (4) and 3 RBI. Mike Brown also had a great day at the plate going 3-5 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Dan Driessen was the only one to do anything against Rhoden as he went 1-3 with a homer (5) and 2 RBI.
