Jesse Barfield extended his hitting streak to 20 games while leading the Blue Jays to a 6-1 win over the Angels.  He extended his streak with a 2-out single in the 2nd that would score George Bell.  He also hit a 2 run homer (11) in the 6th to give the Blue Jays that 6-1 lead.  He would finish the day going 3-4 with a HR and 3 RBI.


Jim Clancy would pick up his 1st win (1-2) of the season, going 5-1 IP and surrendering 1 run on 2 hits and 4 BB's.  Mike Witt took the loss (2-4) after surrendering 6 runs in 6 IP.  Gary Lavelle picked up his 1st save of the season by tossing 3.2 innings of no hit ball.
