The Royals have won 6 in a row and today they were led by Hal McRae, who went 3-4 with a HR (1) and 3 RBI.  His homer in the 1st gave the Royals a quick 2-0 lead that they would never relinquish.  George Brett also went 2-5 with 2 RBI.

Charlie Leibrandt (3-3) was cruising right along until he ran into some trouble in the 6th.  He walked the bases loaded then proceeded to walk in a run. He walked 5 batters in his final 2 innings of work.  He was good enough for the win.  Vern Ruhle (2-2) was solid in the loss today he went 7.1 innings before he ran out of gas.  He gave up 4 runs on 8 hits.  This win gives the Royals a 7 game winning streak.
