June 8,1985: Royals (32-21) at Angels (23-30)

Ron Romanick hurled a fine complete game shutout as the California Angels defeated the Kansas City Royals by the score of 5 to 0 at ANAHEIM STADIUM. 

Romanick(4-6) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed just 7 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 3.72. California rapped out 10 hits for the night. 

Bret Saberhagen(7-3) was tagged with the loss. For California the victory was a welcome one, indeed. They had been struggling in their last ten games with a disappointing 2-8 record. With the loss, the Kansas City ballclub's record is 32-21.
