June 9, 1985: Yankees (29-24) at Brewers (25-28)

Paul Molitor had 3 base hits and scored 3 times as the Milwaukee Brewers topped the New York Yankees by a score of 6 to 3 at COUNTY STADIUM. 

Milwaukee brought 2 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning. The biggest moment was provided by Rick Manning who made the Milwaukee fans a happy lot when he ripped a base-hit bringing in two baserunners. Pete Ladd was great in relief and recorded his 1st save. 

Jaime Cocanower(2-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and allowing 3 runs. Joe Cowley(3-5) took the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 8 hits in 6 and 2/3 innings.
