Honeycutt(4-1) earned the victory with a fine relief performance. He surrendered only 3 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings dropping his ERA from 3.62 to 3.21. Los Angeles had 10 hits for the game and Cincinnati had 3. 

The loss was charged to Jay Tibbs(4-6). Los Angeles knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 7 runs in 5 innings.
