June 11, 1985: Royals (34-22) at A's (22-35)

Hal McRae hit one over the fence and had 3 RBI at OAKLAND COLISEUM where the Kansas City Royals beat the Oakland Athletics by the score of 11 to 5. 

Oakland was unable to recover after Kansas City went ahead in the 2nd inning when they came up with 2 runs on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Steve Balboni who silenced OAKLAND COLISEUM as he bombed a two-run dinger. Kansas City ended up with 18 hits for the game while Oakland had 6. 

Mark Gubicza(6-4) went 5 innings allowing 5 runs for the victory. Don Sutton(0-10) was charged with the loss. He was unable to control the Kansas City offense and allowed 13 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
