Kirby Puckett had 3 base hits as the Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Indians by a score of 8 to 1. 

Ken Schrom(5-0) came on in the 4th to relieve Bert Blyleven had to to exit the game with a blister on his finger and he would close the door tight. He didn't give up much, just 3 hits and no walks in 4 and 2/3 innings lowering his ERA to 4.94. Overall Minnesota out-hit Cleveland 14 to 6. 

Vern Ruhle(4-3) was given the loss. He pitched 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 9 hits and no walks.
