June 15, 1985: Twins (27-32) at Rangers (30-31)

Wayne Tolleson slammed a homerun at ARLINGTON STADIUM where the Texas Rangers beat the Minnesota Twins by the score of 5 to 3. 

Texas scored the winning runs in the 8th inning plating 2 runs on 3 hits. Gary Ward got things rolling when he hit a bases-empty home run. After an out was recorded, Bobby Jones came up and he tripled. After another out, Steve Buechele then laced a base-hit. Texas had 12 hits for the night while Minnesota had 9. 

The winning pitcher was Dave Schmidt(2-2) who allowed 2 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. Schmidt got help from Greg Harris who earned his 10th save. John Butcher(3-11) was the loser. 

With the win Texas now has a record of 30-31. Minnesota has a record of 27-32 after the loss.
