June 19, 1985: Red Sox (38-26) at Tigers (38-24)

Jack Morris blanked Boston in a very well-pitched complete game and Lance Parrish had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at TIGER STADIUM as the Detroit Tigers beat the Boston Red Sox 2 to 0. 

Morris(9-4) was simply too much for the Boston batters. He allowed just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 3.34 to 3.08. Boston had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. 

Roger Clemens(9-4) absorbed the loss. He pitched 7 innings allowing 5 hits and 4 walks.
