June 23, 1985: Giants (29-39) at Padres (43-27)

Dave Dravecky(10-3) and Vida Blue(3-10) locked horns in a pitcher's duel with Dravecky and the San Diego Padres coming out on top of the San Francisco Giants 2 to 1. 

San Diego wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a single run. Garry Templeton smashed a bases-empty homer. Jeff Leonard made it a one run game with a solo homer in the 6th.

Goose Gossage came through with a perfect ninth inning to earn his 17th save.
