June 25, 1985: Giants (29-40) at Reds (36-33)

The San Francisco Giants endured an embarrassing pasting as a potent Cincinnati Reds lineup tallied 12 runs while Joe Price(2-1), with relief help from Ted Power, held San Francisco to 1 run.

It was a good day for Cincinnati thanks to Eric Davis. He blasted a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, laced a single which plated a run in the 3rd inning and laced a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners in the 7th inning. Cincinnati ended up with 13 hits for the game while San Francisco had 7.

Dave Lapoint(4-8) was the loser. He was knocked around by Cincinnati, allowing 6 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings. Davis was jubilant after the game "Let me see a box-score" he joked, "I want to see how that game looks on paper."
