June 26, 1985: Mets (44-25) at Cubs (39-29)

Howard Johnson hit a homer and Ed Lynch pitched a complete game shutout at WRIGLEY FIELD as the New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs 4 to 0. 

Lynch(9-3) was very good in the win. He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 3.39 to 3.11. New York managed 10 hits in their victory. 

Ray Fontenot(3-6) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
