June 28, 1985: Phillies (27-43) at Expos (33-40)

The Philadelphia Phillies pitching coach might be looking for a new job soon. His team allowed 11 runs while Joe Hesketh(7-5), with relief help from Jeff Reardon, surrendered 3 runs to Philadelphia in a laugher.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance provided by Vance Law. He clubbed a solo home run in the 1st inning, ripped a one-base hit scoring two baserunners in the 6th inning and smacked a single in the 7th inning. Montreal had 13 hits for the night while Philadelphia had 10.

Steve Carlton(7-4) was hit with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
