June 30, 1985: Astros (37-38) at Giants (31-44) : Game 2 of 2

Mike Krukow dominated striking out 10 Houston batters and Chili Davis had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the San Francisco Giants won at CANDLESTICK PARK in dramatic fashion over the Houston Astros, the final score, 6 to 4. 

San Francisco came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs. Davis opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk. Jeff Leonard followed next and he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run making San Francisco the winners and sending the 40,009 fans home happy. San Francisco out-hit Houston for the game, 12 hits to 8. 

Scott Garrelts(5-3) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Ron Mathis(2-3) was given the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter allowing 1 hit and 1 walk.
