July 8, 1985: Blue Jays (50-33) at Mariners (44-38)

Right fielder Jesse Barfield had 2 base hits at The Kingdome where the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners 8 to 3.

Toronto jumped on top of Seattle in the 3rd inning when they came up with 3 runs on 2 hits. That early run support was all that Jimmy Key(11-5) required. Toronto managed 8 hits in their victory.

Frank Wills(1-6) was charged with the loss. Toronto knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 8 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
