July 19, 1985: Cardinals (53-35) at Dodgers (55-35)

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 7 to 3 at DODGER STADIUM. 

Willie McGee had a big evening at the plate. He tripled in the 1st inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 5th inning and slapped a one-base hit which plated a run in the 7th inning. St. Louis had 7 hits for the night.

Bob Forsch(10-6) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Forsch got help from Ken Dayley who earned his 3rd save. Fernando Valenzuela(9-7) was the loser. St. Louis scored big getting 7 runs off him in 6 and 2/3 innings.
