July 25, 1985: Tigers (57-37) at Twins (38-57)

Tom Brookens had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at METRODOME where the Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins in 12 innings by the score of 5 to 4. 

The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Detroit won it in the 12th inning. Chet Lemon tripled. Brookens stepped up to the plate and he banged out a single scoring the run. For the game Detroit out-hit Minnesota 14 to 11. 

Juan Berenguer(3-0) got the win allowing no runs in 4 innings. Willie Hernandez earned his 22nd save. The loss was charged to Frank Eufemia(1-1) in relief. 

The Detroit ballclub's record now stands at 57-37. Not able to get much going in recent weeks, Minnesota is 2-8 of late and now has an overall record of 38-57.
