July 26, 1985: Tigers (57-38) at Twins (39-57)

One run was the difference at METRODOME as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers in 13 innings 7 to 6. 

The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Minnesota was victorious in the 13th inning. Gary Gaetti got things going when he laced a single. One out later, Tim Laudner was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Mark Salas then doubled resulting in a run. Kirby Puckett was up next and he drew a walk. Mickey Hatcher stepped into the box and stroked a one-base hit resulting in an exciting win for Minnesota and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. Minnesota had 13 hits for the night. 

The win went to Rick Lysander(1-2) who allowed 2 runs in 4 innings. Juan Berenguer(3-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.
