July 27, 1985: Tigers (58-38) at Twins (39-58)

Center fielder Chet Lemon had 2 base hits as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Minnesota Twins by the score of 5 to 4 at METRODOME. 

Frank Tanana(12-3) gave a fine effort for Detroit. He allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. Detroit took care of Minnesota with no trouble in the bottom of the 9th. 

Willie Hernandez recorded the save, his 23rd. Mike Smithson(8-10) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 8 hits and 5 walks.
