July 28, 1985: Mariners (48-51) at Red Sox (63-36)

Bill Buckner jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Boston Red Sox bested the Seattle Mariners 7 to 5 at FENWAY PARK. 

Buckner enjoyed a big day at the plate. He doubled resulting in a run in the 1st inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 6th inning and hit a single knocking in a run in the 8th inning. Boston had 8 hits for the game and Seattle had 5. 

The win was credited to Steve Crawford(2-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs. Bob Stanley recorded his 26th save. Mike Moore(14-7) was tagged with the loss.
