July 28, 1985: Reds (53-45) at Expos (46-53)

Tim Raines had 2 base hits as the Montreal Expos topped the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 4 to 3 at OLYMPIC STADIUM. 

In the bottom of the 5th inning Montreal scored 3 runs. The key at-bat was by Scot Thompson who brought the crowd to their feet when he smacked a single bringing home two baserunners. Cincinnati had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. 

David Palmer(5-12) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 5 innings. Palmer got help from Jeff Reardon who was credited with his 14th save. Jay Tibbs(7-11) took the loss. He surrendered 7 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.
