July 29, 1985: Giants (41-59) at Dodgers (62-38)

Bill Madlock had 2 base hits and Fernando Valenzuela allowed only 3 hits resulting in a big goose egg on the scoreboard for San Francisco at DODGER STADIUM where the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 2 to 0. 

Valenzuela(10-8) came through with a virtuoso performance against the San Francisco hitters. He gave up just 3 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. Los Angeles managed 7 hits in their victory. 

The losing pitcher was Mike Krukow(4-14). 'Our guys just weren't seeing the ball tonight.' Jim Davenport said. 'Valenzuela simply dominated us.'
