The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance provided by Parker. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 1st inning, banged out a single scoring two baserunners in the 2nd inning and ripped a one-base hit bringing home two baserunners in the 4th inning. Cincinnati banged out 12 hits on the night.
The winning pitcher was Robinson(5-5) who allowed 1 run for the game. Rick Honeycutt(7-4) suffered the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 7 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
