Darrell Evans cracked a homer and had 3 RBI at TIGER STADIUM where the Detroit Tigers beat the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 11 to 7. 

In the 5th inning Detroit went on top for good scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Larry Herndon who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he lashed a single bringing in two baserunners. Detroit had 16 hits overall, while Milwaukee had 11. 

Juan Berenguer(4-1) got the win allowing 6 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Willie Hernandez recorded his 25th save. Ted Higuera(7-12) was hit with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings. 

With this win, Detroit has a 61-42 record. They have been 5-5 lately. With the loss Milwaukee now has a record of 42-61.
