Darrell Evans had a big evening at the plate. He ripped a one-base hit which plated a run in the 3rd inning and launched a Grand Slam homerun in the 6th inning. Detroit had 17 hits for the night while Cleveland had 7.
Bryan Clark(2-2) was given the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 6 runs in 3 innings.
