Roger McDowell recorded the save, his 17th. Steve Trout(11-11) was the losing pitcher. New York won for the 7th straight time. 'It seems we can't lose these days', Davey Johnson volunteered after the game. Then after a moment to reflect he lamented, 'Oh great! Now I've gone and jinxed us!'
