August 9, 1985: Brewers (45-63) at White Sox (54-53)

Carlton Fisk smashed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 10 to 3 at COMISKEY PARK.

It seemed that Milwaukee pitching was serving up softballs for Fisk to hit. He clubbed a three-run home run in the 1st inning, stroked a single in the 3rd inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 5th inning and slapped a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 6th inning. Chicago ended up with 14 hits for the game while Milwaukee had 8.

Floyd Bannister(12-9) went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Danny Darwin(10-11) was hit with the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4 and 1/3 innings of work.

'I had good swings tonight,' Fisk said, 'Everything felt right'.
