August 14, 1985: Astros (55-58) at Giants (48-65)

In a close game the Houston Astros got by the San Francisco Giants by the score of 4 to 2. 

Houston won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 2 base hits. After two outs Terry Puhl initiated the scoring spurt when he drew a walk. Phil Garner followed and he laced a base-hit. Garner took second on the throw. Mark Bailey then doubled driving home two runs. Dave Smith was great in relief and recorded his 21st save. 

Jeff Calhoun(3-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Vida Blue(5-16) was charged with the loss. He pitched 8 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 5 hits and 5 walks.
