August 14, 1985: Tigers (67-47) at Brewers (47-66)

Todd Crane had a strong outing as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in 10 innings 4 to 1 at COUNTY STADIUM. 

Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Detroit came out on top in the 10th inning. After two were out Larry Herndon got things rolling when he doubled. Tom Brookens stepped into the batter's box and he slapped a one-base hit plating a run. Barbaro Garbey then slapped a base-hit. Doug Flynn came up and he doubled driving home another two teammates. Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning. 

Crane(11-8) got credit for the victory, pitching 9 innings and allowing 1 run. Willie Hernandez recorded his 28th save. Bob McClure(2-1) was given the loss in relief. 

With this win, Detroit has a 67-47 record. They have been 5-5 lately. With this loss, Milwaukee has a 5-5 record of late, 47-66 overall.
