August 16, 1985: A's (46-70) at Angels (53-62)

30,246 fans watched an exciting game at ANAHEIM STADIUM.  The California
Angels topped the Oakland Athletics by the slimmest of margins, 7 to 6.
 
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Dick Schofield.  He launched a three-run homer in the 2nd inning,
laced a base-hit in the 4th inning and ripped a base-knock in the 6th inning.
Oakland had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
Kirk McCaskill(13-11) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory.
Donnie Moore got the save, his 26th.  Chris Codiroli(5-14) took the loss.  He
was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
