August 16, 1985: Mariners (60-57) at Twins (47-69)

Right fielder Ivan Calderon blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Minnesota Twins by a score of 15 to 8 at METRODOME. 

Calderon had a good evening at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning and lofted a three-run homer in the 4th inning. Seattle lit up the scoreboard in the 4th inning which saw them plate 7 runs on 5 hits. Seattle had 17 hits for the night while Minnesota had 12. 

Mark Langston(10-9) allowed 3 runs in 5 innings, and picked up the victory. Langston was helped out by Frank Wills who recorded his 3rd save. The losing pitcher was Frank Viola(9-16). He was not very effective, surrendering 8 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
