August 23, 1985: Brewers (52-69) at Indians (47-78)

Rick Manning had 2 base hits and Ted Higuera pitched 9 strong innings as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the pitiful Cleveland Indians by the score of 2 to 0 at MUNICIPAL STADIUM.

In the top of the 3rd inning Milwaukee went on top for good scoring one runner on 2 hits. Manning doubled. Paul Molitor next to the plate and he doubled scoring the run. That was all the offense they were to need. Milwaukee managed 12 hits in their victory.

It was the 4th shutout of the year for Higuera(9-13). Neal Heaton(9-14) was given the loss. 'When Higuera is on like that it is a tough game to play, no doubt about it,' Pat Corrales said. 'He always pitches well against us.'
