August 29, 1985: Braves (40-87) at Cubs (65-63)

Jody Davis hit 3 doubles and had 4 RBI as the Atlanta Braves were badly beaten by the Chicago Cubs, 14 to 4. 

It was a good day for Chicago thanks to Davis. He doubled knocking in a run in the 2nd inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 6th inning and doubled plating two runs in the 8th inning. Overall Chicago out-hit Atlanta 18 to 5. 

Rick Sutcliffe(15-7) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 2/3 innings and allowing 4 runs. The losing pitcher was Joe Johnson(0-4). He gave up 3 runs and 6 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.
