Steve Bedrosian went the distance at WRIGLEY FIELD where the Atlanta Braves beat the Chicago Cubs 9 to 2. 

Atlanta came up with 6 runs in the 7th inning with the help of 4 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Dale Murphy who quieted the home crowd when he clubbed a three-run home run. Atlanta had 12 hits for the afternoon. 

Bedrosian(4-18) allowed 2 runs on the game. The loss was charged to Steve Trout(11-14). He pitched 6 innings giving up 7 hits and 5 walks. 

The Atlanta ballclub's record now stands at 41-88. With this loss, Chicago has a 6-4 record of late, 66-64 overall.
