Baltimore won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Floyd Rayford reached on an error. After an out was recorded, Alan Wiggins came to bat and doubled. One out later, Cal Ripken then lined a one-base hit making Baltimore the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Baltimore had a total of 9 hits for the game.
