Lloyd Moseby had 2 base hits as the very potent Toronto Blue Jays won at EXHIBITION STADIUM in dramatic fashion over the Detroit Tigers, the final score, 3 to 2. 

Toronto won the game with a run in the 9th inning. Jesse Barfield drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Damaso Garcia stepped in and he singled. Moseby got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Jeff Burroughs followed next and he ripped a base-hit making Toronto the winners and sending the 48,490 fans home happy. Detroit was out-hit by Toronto, 10 hits to 4. 

Gary Lavelle(5-2) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. Jack Morris(16-9) was hit with the loss. With the win Toronto now has a record of a division leading 85-53. Detroit has a record of 82-55 after the loss.
