September 12, 1985: Dodgers (85-55) at Braves (42-97)

At FULTON CTY STADIUM the amazing Los Angeles Dodgers outdistanced the hopeless Atlanta Braves by a final score of 6 to 2. 

Atlanta never recovered after Los Angeles took the lead in the 4th inning plating 2 runs using 2 hits. After two outs Pedro Guerrero got things rolling when he cracked a solo homerun. Mike Marshall came next and he tripled. Greg Brock then reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning. Los Angeles ended up with 12 hits for the game while Atlanta had 8. 

The winning pitcher was Fernando Valenzuela(15-9) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. Steve Bedrosian(5-19) was the loser. The Los Angeles ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 85-55.
