September 21, 1985: Expos (72-76) at Cardinals (88-60)

Bryn Smith had a strong outing at BUSCH STADIUM as the Montreal Expos beat the St. Louis Cardinals by the count of 2 to 1. 

Montreal started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the first plating an isolated run on 3 base hits. Tim Raines drew a walk. Raines got a great jump and stole second easily. After an out was recorded, Andre Dawson then lined a one-base hit. Dawson took second on the throw. Hubie Brooks followed next and he banged out a single scoring the run. St. Louis had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. 

The win was credited to Smith(11-15) who went the whole way allowing 1 run. John Tudor(21-6) took the loss. He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings giving up 11 hits and 1 walk.
