September 22, 1985: Indians (54-97) at Angels (63-86)

Brian Downing smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the California Angels defeated the dreadful Cleveland Indians 12 to 9 at ANAHEIM STADIUM. 

Downing punished Cleveland with his bat. He lined a base-hit knocking in a run in the 1st inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 6th inning. Despite losing, Cleveland out-hit California 16 to 12. 

Kirk McCaskill(14-15) went 5 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Neal Heaton(10-17) took the loss. He couldn't find the plate, issuing 5 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
