September 22, 1985: A's (65-84) at White Sox (74-74)

The Chicago White Sox got by the Oakland Athletics at COMISKEY PARK. The final score was 5 to 3. 

Chicago won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 8th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 2 base hits. Greg Walker got things going when he stroked a base-hit. After an out was recorded, Oscar Gamble came up and he drew a walk. One out later, Tim Hulett then belted a three-run homer. Oakland had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. 

Dave Wehrmeister(3-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Bob James was credited with his 33rd save. Keith Atherton(3-4) was the losing pitcher in relief.
