September 22, 1985: Braves (45-104) at Padres (79-70)

At JACK MURPHY STADIUM, the San Diego fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Steve Bedrosian(7-19) finally bested his San Diego opposite, Dave Dravecky(13-12), by the score of 2 to 1. 

Atlanta brought 1 run across the plate in the top of the 3rd inning. That early scoring held up. The pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score again. 

Gene Garber was credited with his 1st save. The loss was charged to Dravecky. He surrendered 5 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings. 

Atlanta now has a record of 45-104. San Diego has a record of 79-70 after the loss.
