Third baseman Andre Robertson had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the New York Yankees bested the Baltimore Orioles 6 to 4 at MEMORIAL STADIUM. 

Ron Guidry(24-9) earned his pay with a solid performance for New York. He went 8 innings and surrended up 7 hits and 2 walks. Baltimore threatened in the 9th but New York was able to put down the rally. 

Guidry got help from Dave Righetti who earned his 33rd save. Mike Boddicker(4-13) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
