September 26, 1985: Braves (45-107) at Reds (82-70)

Left fielder Eric Davis slammed 2 homeruns as the Cincinnati Reds outscored the dreadful Atlanta Braves 5 to 3. 

Davis enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He clubbed a solo home run in the 1st inning and caught a hold of a fastball for a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning. Atlanta went down quietly in the 9th. 

Jay Tibbs(13-17) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Ted Power was credited with his 5th save. Terry Forster(0-5) was given the loss in relief. He gave up 2 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings and saw his ERA jump from 3.68 to 3.99.
