September 27, 1985: Angels (64-89) at Indians (57-98)

Left fielder Mel Hall had 4 hits and scored 3 times at MUNICIPAL STADIUM where the Cleveland Indians beat the California Angels 4 to 3. 

The game was won by Cleveland with a run in the 8th inning. After an out was recorded, Hall delivered a one-base hit. Tony Bernazard was next and he drew a walk. Jerry Willard was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Brett Butler followed and he hit a single scoring the run. California tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. 

Jerry Reed(4-3) got the win allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Tom Waddell was credited with his 17th save. Mike Witt(9-15) took the loss. He was unable to control the Cleveland offense and allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
