September 27, 1985: Astros (75-78) at Reds (82-71)

Catcher Mark Bailey homered and had 4 RBI as the Houston Astros defeated the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 10 to 5 at Crosley Field.

Bailey was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He banged out a single which plated a run in the 2nd inning, singled in the 6th inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 8th inning. Houston had 17 hits for the night while Cincinnati had 4.

The win went to Mike Scott(8-17) who allowed 5 runs in 7 innings. Joe Price(4-6) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 5 hits and no walks.
