Rickey Henderson had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the New York Yankees defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in 10 innings by the score of 5 to 4 at YANKEE STADIUM. 

The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. New York won it in the 10th inning. Butch Wynegar stroked a base-hit. Bobby Meacham was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. Henderson then singled. Ken Griffey was up next and he doubled giving New York the victory and sending the 20,304 home-town fans home happy. New York had 16 hits for the game and Milwaukee had 11. 

Rich Bordi(11-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Jaime Cocanower(4-8) took the loss in relief. He pitched 2 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 4 hits and 2 walks.
