October 4, 1985: Angels (66-94) at Rangers (80-79)

Center fielder Oddibe McDowell cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Texas Rangers defeated the pathetic California Angels by a score of 5 to 3 at ARLINGTON STADIUM. 

McDowell helped send the fans home happy. He cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 8th inning. California threatened in the 9th but Texas was able to put down the rally. 

Dickie Noles(11-9) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Noles got help from Greg Harris who earned his 38th save. Ron Romanick(10-19) was hit with the loss. He surrendered 4 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.
